However, the 15 cheapest suburbs are relatively evenly spread over New Zealand but none of them is in large cities. The most expensive suburbs in Auckland and New Zealand is Mission Bay, Takapuna, Remuera, Parnell and Lowry Bay in Wellington. That last suburb is the only one among 15 expensive suburbs which is not in Auckland.Lowry Bay
You can find houses in this suburb for around 800,000 New Zealand dollars. Nevertheless, this is a rather interesting suburb which has many interesting attractions within a 5-mile radius. Takapuna
Houses can be purchased in this suburb from approximately NZ$1.6 million. This is a suburb which has a reputation for an area which is somewhat laid-back. It is attractive because of the white sand beaches which can become highly populated and busy. There are also a large number of seaside dining places. Some of the popular streets is Hurst mere Road, Anzac Street and Lake Road which is forming a triangle and along this route there are many bars, pubs as well as nightclubs which attract a lot of the students. In the region there is also Lake Pupuke which is a volcano crater which has filled with freshwater. Many boating enthusiasts come to this lake.
